If I only had a nickle for every time I have heard that...
It is amazing
how fashion fads begin...with only one person. That person believes in their work, and begins to present it to their friends
and colleagues. Their friends and colleagues begin to believe in it, and soon, they get a job working their work on a international
runway, receiving international recognition. Soon the whole world is wearing their work, their belief, their statement.
What makes it easier is when it is the RIGHT thing to do! I am of American Indian decent, and I have studied
many of the tribes and their beliefs on mother nature. It is one of the reasons I have included so many American Indian quotes
in my quote pages. They speak so simple, yet so awesome. I have too many favorites, but one I come back to frequently is the
one about basing your decisions on seven generations down the road. How will your choice to drink bottled water affect
your children's children, and their children, and so on. Are we going to leave the world in a better place after we leave?
Or are we going to leave our legacy of trash and headaches for the following generations? Will there even be any wildlife?
Will the crops still grow? Will the world collapse upon itself in total failure?
As for me, I know I do not want
to see this at any level. I have been brought up to respect nature, and to look at my footprint on earth, and make sure I
leave this place a better place when it is my time to leave.
