Inspiring environmental stewardship through education to improve, protect and beautify our backyard wildlife habitats.

Welcome to Backyard Wildlife Habitats

Welcome! This site is targeted at learning how to make your backyard into a habitat for wildlife. I have been a gardener for much of my life, and I wanted to make an impact in this world. I want to make a difference. My first love (other than my mom and dad) is animals and plants. When I was younger, I could just spend HOURS outside observing all of God's creatures. Even the tiny little ants...I learned how they work together to get things done. It is, and always will be, my passion in life.

So...how can I use my passion and knowledge to help others? TEACH! I am not a certified teacher, but I am a Master Gardner, so my thought was to create this site with the knowledge to help others learn about nature, create habitats, learn to garden, and to appreciate what nature has to offer. One of my favorite sayings is at the bottom of this page...and it is SO true!

I want to make a difference in the world, I want to make it a better place for my children to grow up in. I want to make sure we all will have the opportunity to enjoy nature as it was meant to be.

So, with that...I give you Backyard Wildlife Habitats. I have not earned a penny from this site, but that's not necessarily my goal (although it would be nice :-)  ). I am more concerned with being able to teach you about the needs of nature, and how you can become an integral part of helping the whole ecosystem. If you find any subjects that I do not cover in this site, please do not hesitate to contact me, and I can add it. The site is a working document, and I try to add items at least weekly.

I do have a side business on e-bay that offers items to help enhance your backyard habitat. Should you choose to visit my store, I would be grateful. If there are items you would like to see in the store, again, do not hesitate to contact me. I have also opened stores on Etsy and Artfire, only for my handmade items. I am proud to say I use as much recycled, reclaimed and repurposed items as possible. I know sometimes it is hard to do business in cyber world, but my philosophy is old school. I want to make your learning and shopping experience the best possible with great products and super customer service.

For starters...I am offering anyone (in the US) FREE wildflower seeds for their garden...click below for the offer.

Thank you very much for visiting Backyard Wildlife Habitats.
